Wyndham championship.

Wyndham Championship.

A decent effort by our selections last week, but not good enough.

This week’s tournaments are of a lower quality and its difficult to find much value.

One player that does look attractive @ 80/1 is John Rollins.

He has been showing some reasonable form of late and was third in this event last year.

Worth taking a chance at this price.

USA PGA Championship

USA PGA CHAMPIONSHIP.

Another good week, last week thanks to Adam Scott’s superb display.

Hope you were all on.

This week its the USA PGA Championship, the only Major preceded by a WGC event.

Players who do well in the previous weeks WGC are unlikely to well the following week.

For example take a look at last year.

Out of the top 10 in the PGA only 2 finished in the top 10 in the WGC.

McIlroy finished 9th in the WGC and 4th in the PGA and

Kuchar finished 9th in the WGC and 10th in the PGA.

So generally speaking, those that did well in the WGC,

didn’t do well the following week in the PGA.

The top 3 in the PGA (Kymer,Watson and Johnson) finished,

22nd, 22nd and 33rd, respectively.

It is also worth noting that Kymer and Johnson both had top ten finishes

in the previous years PGA.

So to conclude, we need to look for someone who played well in the WGC

without getting involved in the finish and had played well in the 2009 PGA.

As an added bonus, those that did play well last week will have their odds shortened,

allowing others (our selections) to be backed at prices with some value.

This gives us three strong selections.

Nick Watney. 2pts each way @ 35/1  with  Bet365  1/4 odds first 6,  33/1 with StanJames, and Victor Chandler 1/4 odds first 6 or

Bridgestone Invitational.

Another profitable week last week,

thanks to Scott Stallings heroics on Sunday.

Hope you were all on.

This week its the Bridgestone International World Golf Championship,

which has some advantages over the standard tournaments,

as there are a limited number of players and there is no cut.

The bookies reduce the odds on the leading players,

but there is some value to be had backing each way if you look towards the less obvious selections.

I’ve picked out three this week, all to be backed each way.

Aaron Baddely won earlier this year and has some very good form if you ignore the

British and US opens. He putts very well and is a strong contender if he can get into a

challenging posistion.  Worth a chance at these odds.

1 point win top 5 finish @25  with BetFair.

Alternatively 1 point each way @125/1 with ToteSportSport, Ladbrokes and BoyleSports.

Ryan Moore, has shown signs of coming to his best recently.

Played well here last year, and again good value.

will go very well.

Betting advice.

Scott Stallings is no.1 in greens in regulation this week,

and has the best stats for final round scoring over his more experienced rivals.

At one off the lead and available at 8/1, he looks rock solid each way,

and is the value bet for tonight.

Irish open final round.

Betting advice.

It looks straight forward tomorrow.

One of the front three should win

Green is neat and tidy and putts well.

Should be capable of doing enough to win.

4pt. win  R.Green @100/30   William Hill

3/1 widely available.

Outright for Greenbrier classic.

I advised no outright bets for this week, as I could find no value in any potential golfers.

After much study I’ve found one that could go well at a big price.

This weeks contest could turn into a putting competition, and with this in mind

it may be worth a punt on Greg Chalmers at 150/1. He’s ranked third in the putting stats,

and played well in Canada last week. These type of events are often won by outsiders,

so Chalmers is worth a punt at these odds.
1point each way Greg Chalmers @ 150/1 Coral.

Also available at 125/1 with William Hill,

and around 200 win only on the exchanges.

Snedaker is a non runner this week so one of our matchbets is void.

Greenbrier classic/irish open.

Romero gave us a nice profit last week, taking third place at 80/1.

OUTRIGHT.

The weather, which has caused havoc so far, is set to be worse tomorrow.
There is no value to be had with those who head the market,
and had the best of the weather today.
It looks set to be bad all day and may be worth taking a chance
on some of those who may handle the conditions, a few stokes back.

1 point win each of the following on BetFair.
